An Arizona Story 140 Years in the Making
Since the first gas lamp was lit in 1886 at Central and Washington, one thing has remained constant, supporting the people and communities who call Arizona home. Over the past 140 years, life across Arizona has changed in many ways, but our state is still a place where our friends, families and neighbors live, work and play. We also have grown with the state, helping take care of the energy that powers everyday life and meaningful milestones, today and into the future.

In this issue:
Rain or shine reliability
Did you know we have dedicated meteorologists to help provide reliability no matter the weather? As part of year-round wildfire mitigation and preparedness, regular weather and wildfire related hazards are assessed to ensure robust response and readiness. Though weather conditions in the Southwest are typically hot and dry, changes such as wind patterns can be subtle and have big impacts from day-to-day. Weather awareness is essential since critical fire weather can occur at any time of year in Arizona. With monsoon season approaching, thunderstorm hazards and impacts are also evaluated using the latest technology. Prevention is a best practice that helps to keep our great state safe and running smoothly. Learn more at aps.com/wildfires.

Cool Rewards Business - Earn up to $100 per thermostat
With the Cool Rewards Business program, you can help conserve energy during times when energy use is highest and receive up to $100 in bill credits per qualifying thermostat enrolled in the program your first year. During scheduled conservation hours, your smart thermostat will be adjusted a few degrees, keeping your space comfortable while helping the grid meet everyone's needs. Learn more and enroll at aps.com/coolrewardsbiz.
Let's talk options to manage your bill
You can count on a more predictable monthly payment, no matter the time of year, with Budget Billing. Your recent energy bills are averaged to even out seasonal highs and lows and determine your monthly payment. You can also pick your Preferred Due Date based on your budget and schedule and ensure your bill is paid on time, every time when you enroll in AutoPay. See all options at aps.com/bizbillingoptions.

Bird Conservation Awareness Month
The APS Avian & Wildlife Protection Program helps us ensure the safety of Arizona wildlife, including birds and a variety of mammals such as cats, squirrels, bears and more. Many bird species, especially raptors and larger perching birds, are drawn to utility poles as nesting sites. These structures mimic natural perches like cliffs or tall trees, offering birds a clear view of their surroundings and protection from ground predators. We collaborate with Liberty Wildlife to minimize avian impact across Arizona, and modify equipment as needed to help protect both the birds and the power grid. Learn more at aps.com/wildlife.

Giving your business more flexibility
With Flex Solutions, you can participate in conservation events during times of high energy use and earn up to $60 per kilowatt saved while supporting a more resilient energy grid. You can use the energy technologies your business already relies on, including building management systems, batteries and backup generators. Learn more at aps.com/flex.
Stay safe this season
Your safety is our priority, and we work year‑round to help protect the communities we serve. To reduce wildfire risk, our crews maintain more than 38,000 miles of power lines, clear vegetation, and coordinate closely with first responders. When summer storms cause outages, we’ll keep you informed every step of the way as our teams work to restore power safely and as quickly as possible. Learn more at aps.com/outagecenter or download the free APS mobile app to track outages in real time.
