APS offers several rate plans, so you can choose the one that best fits your needs and energy habits. For each plan, you’ll find different ways to lower your bill. The most important thing to remember is that the amount you pay for energy is greatly impacted by the rate plan you are on, how much energy you use, and how you use energy.

Time-of-Use plans offer incentives for using less energy during times of peak demand. Many customers can save money on these plans by making a few small changes to when and how they use energy on weekdays:
Time-of-Use 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. Weekdays – Customers pay lower rates than the Fixed Energy Plan during most of the day, except during on-peak hours, which are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays. By using less energy during these hours, customers can save money.

Time-of-Use 4 p.m.-7 p.m. Weekdays with Demand Charge – This plan offers the lowest energy rates of these choices. To save, customers must limit their energy use and demand during on-peak hours, which are 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, and receive even lower Super Off-Peak rates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays (excluding off-peak holidays) on their November through April bills. Customers can do this by shifting their energy use to off-peak hours, and by running one appliance at a time during on-peak hours.
