How it works
Budget Billing averages your past energy bills to create a more predictable monthly payment. This helps balance the seasonal highs and lows of your bill, so planning for energy costs is easier.

Your Budget Billing amount may go up or down over time, depending on your energy usage and the price of energy. The amount you pay may be adjusted once every three months at most.

Ready to balance your monthly payments?
Here are three things to keep in mind:
- Your account must be current with no past-due balance or payment arrangement.
- If you’re on the Energy Support Program, you can still enroll in Budget Billing and keep your monthly bill discount.
- The more billing history you have (up to 12 months), the more accurate your monthly payment will be.

Common Questions
Where can I find Budget Billing details on my bill?
Look for details on Page 1 of your bill.

What's shown here is an example. Sign in to see what your Budget Billing payment would be.
If I have a credit balance, can I skip a payment?
No, you’ll still need to pay the amount due by the payment due date.
What happens if I make a late payment?
Late payments will be shown on your bill. If you make a late payment three times within 12 months, you’ll be removed from the program. You can re-enroll once your balance is paid in full.
