APS Sends $250,000 to the Salvation Army After Devastating Flooding in Globe Miami
Arizona Public Service (APS) is sending financial support to The Salvation Army to help the victims of last week’s devastating floods. The company is also providing supplies, including personal protective equipment and tools to support volunteers involved in recovery efforts in the Globe-Miami area.
“Arizona isn’t just where we work – it’s home. Seeing our neighbors in the Globe-Miami community go through such devastating flooding is heartbreaking,” said Ted Geisler, APS President and CEO. “We want our customers to know they’re not alone – we’re here to help however we can. Please reach out if you need support with your account or services. Above all, your safety and well-being matter most to us.”
APS will immediately provide $250,000 in shareholder funds to The Salvation Army to help with the cleanup and provide additional support, such as food and shelter for victims. APS is also gathering supplies such as hard hats, gloves and eye protection to give to volunteers who are helping with recovery efforts.
