This plan is best if you shift more of your energy use to off-peak hours

how it works
the plan is billed on an on-peak (higher cost) and off-peak (lower cost) basis
  • on-peak hours are:
    • weekdays, Monday-Friday 12pm to 7pm
  • off-peak hours are:
    • weekdays, Monday-Friday 7pm to 12pm
    • weekends, all day Saturday and Sunday
    • 6 major holidays
holidays for 7 pm - noon plans
Holidays that are considered to be off-peak all day long:

  • New Years Day (January 1)*
  • Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
  • Independence Day (July 4)*
  • Labor Day (first Monday in September)
  • Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
  • Christmas Day (December 25)*
*If these holidays fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be off-peak. If they fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be off-peak.
how to save
saving is as easy as Shift, Stagger & Save!
With this plan, you have the Shift & Save option to help you save energy and money.

  • Shift the use of appliances to off-peak hours when energy is a lower cost. For example, set your dishwasher to run on a delay cycle and your pool pump on a timer to run after 7pm weekdays.
  • Save energy and money on your overall usage by taking advantage of some basic energy efficiency programs, tips and tools. For example, take advantage of one of our rebate programs, set you thermostat a few degrees higher in the summer and lower in the winter and take our quick and easy Energy Analyzer survey to get an energy-savings report customized for your home.
