haven't switched yet?
Don’t worry, we’ll move you to a new plan that is similar to the one you are on today.
Your current plan will be discontinued so if you have not already changed to a new plan, we will move you to the plan most similar to your current one between Feb 1 and April 30. No action is required on your part. You will receive (or may have already received) a letter from us that provides more information on the plan you are moving to and the date range that you’ll be moved. If you like, you can pick a new plan up to two days before your transition date at aps.com/pickaplan, all you’ll need is your account number and zip code. And if you have already moved to a new plan but would like to select a different option you can pick a different plan later.

If you are registered on aps.com, you will receive an email notification when your new plan becomes effective. Not registered? You can check the status of your plan transition at aps.com/pickaplan.

are you a solar customer or plan to install solar?
current solar customers

If you are a solar customer as of August 31, 2017, the terms of your net metering will be grandfathered for 20 years from the date your solar panels were interconnected as long as you remain on your current service plan – and those terms stay with the system even if you sell your home. Please note that the grandfathering applies only to your net metering arrangement. You are still subject to any rate increases approved by the ACC. No action is required on your part. As a grandfathered solar customer, you will not be required to move to one of the new plans.

pending solar customers
(With a complete application submitted before August 31, 2017)
If you have submitted a complete interconnection application before the August 31, 2017 deadline, you will need to have the system installed with approved city clearance by February 28, 2018 to maintain the terms of grandfathered net metering. If you miss the deadline, we will review your options with you and ensure you are on a plan that fits your needs and works with solar. You will receive (or may have already received) a letter from us reminding you of this deadline.

If your system is installed by the deadline, the terms of your net metering will be grandfathered for 20 years from the date your solar panels are interconnected as long as you remain on your current service plan – if you sell your home, those terms will transfer to the new homeowner.

Please note: that the grandfathering terms apply only to your net metering arrangement. You are still subject to any rate increases approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission.

(With an application completed after August 31, 2017 or the system will be installed after February 28, 2018)
If your completed application was submitted after August 31, 2017 or if the system was not installed by February 28, 2018, you are not eligible for net-metering grandfathering and you will be moved to one of our new service plans with a new solar rate rider.
