This plan offers the perfect balance of savings & convenience. This plan is best if you shift more of your energy use to lower cost off-peak hours.

how it works
low cost off-peak hours
This plan has two parts: a basic service charge and an energy charge that will vary by season (summer or winter) and by the time of day the energy is used (on-peak & off-peak)

  • on-peak hours (higher cost): 3pm - 8pm Monday - Friday
  • off-peak hours (lower cost): 8pm - 3pm Monday - Friday, all day on weekends and 10 holidays
  • super off-peak hours (lowest cost): 10am - 3pm Monday - Friday during the winter (November - April bills)
  • 10 holidays: New Year's Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents' Day, Cesar Chavez Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
*If these holidays fall on a Saturday, the preceding Friday will be off-peak. If they fall on a Sunday, the following Monday will be off-peak.

how to save
saving is as easy as Shift & Save!
  • Shift the use of energy to off-peak hours when energy cost is lower. For example, set your dishwasher to run on a delay cycle and your pool pump on a timer to run after 8pm weekdays.
  • Save energy and money on your overall usage by taking advantage of some easy energy efficiency programs, tips and tools. For example, take advantage of one of our rebate programs, set your thermostat a few degrees higher in the summer and lower in the winter and take our quick and easy Energy Analyzer survey to get an energy-savings report customized for your home.
