offers customers timely, accurate information that can help them stay informed during an outage
With summer storms just around the corner, APS is making sure customers have information, quite literally, at their fingertips. The company recently launched a mobile-friendly, easy-to-use outage map on aps.com.
The map offers up-to-the-minute information about outages impacting communities across the state, listing the location, number of customers impacted and the estimated restoration time. It also allows customers to report an outage and find emergency response sites – like dry ice distribution.
“Nobody wants to be without power – especially during a hot Arizona summer,” said Tony Tewelis, APS Director of Distribution Operations and Maintenance. “We want to provide our customers with information when they need it most. The power goes out, and customers start to question whether they need to go to a hotel or worry about the food in their fridge. Our new outage map is a quick, easy way for customers to access information that is important to them. And, of course, while customers are planning their next steps, our committed crews are in the field working safely and efficiently to restore their power.”
