building a brighter future
Teachers looking for extra funds for classroom projects have the opportunity to apply for grants through a partnership we’ve formed with the Phoenix Suns.
Through the APS/Phoenix Suns Mini-Grant Program, $50,000 is made available to classroom teachers for hands-on projects with an emphasis on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). The grant program is available to teachers located within our service territory, and each teacher can apply for up to $2,500.
The mini-grants are just a small portion of what we are doing to help educators statewide. Through our APS Foundation, we provide significant funding for STEM to help teachers better prepare students for their future careers. In 2015, we donated more than $3.2 million to boost education in our state. In addition, we support the Arizona Educational Foundation and the Arizona K-12 Center to provide resources and support for Arizona’s educators.
The future of Arizona is in each and every one of our classrooms. Contributing to our students’ education today is the best way to create a stronger future for all of Arizona.
