Every year, Habitat for Humanity Central Arizona brings people together to build and renovate homes, strengthen communities and inspire hope.
Through the Habitat for Humanity program, hardworking, low-income families who otherwise would not qualify for a conventional mortgage are able to obtain a home. This “hand up, not hand out” program allows families to pay a no-interest mortgage and contribute 100 hours of work on a neighbor’s house and 300 hours of work on their own. Over the past five years, more than 300 of our volunteers have dedicated nearly 5,000 hours to help future homeowners build houses in Glendale and Peoria.
Our commitment to Habitat’s mission of affordable housing spans more than a decade and has resulted in not only dedicated volunteers, but donations such as lightbulbs and shade trees, and nearly $400,000 for building supplies and other needs.
We invite you to volunteer and help make home ownership a dream come true. Visit habitatcaz.org
