aps veteran support
Veterans bring great assets and skills to the workforce and we’re committed to supporting them in their transition from active duty to civilian life. We take pride in one in five of our employees being a veteran.

In 2014 we received the Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award, an honor for our dedication to hiring veterans. And we haven’t stopped there; we continue to recognize veterans and the sacrifices they made for us.
Through our support of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation (MCSF), the children of 16 brave American soldiers—who passed away in a plane crash during a military training exercise—will each have college scholarships valued at $30,000.
In addition to MCSF, we provide aid to both Goodwill’s Back to Work program, which prepares veterans for career and employee placement, and U.S. Vets, which provides housing and workforce services to veterans. Financial support and employee volunteerism for veterans and military programs are some of the ways we show support for those who served our country.
