aps pilot program offers funding for schools
The future of our state lies in the hands of our students. To help schools
in Arizona, we recently launched a pilot program that funds 100 percent
of energy efficiency projects. This allows schools to reduce energy costs
and keep money in the classroom.
Our APS Schools Pilot Program provides $2 million in funding through
2017 for energy-saving projects at K-12 schools in our service territory. It is
designed to assist public and charter schools that haven’t been able to take
advantage of our Solutions for Business energy efficiency programs due
to funding restraints. This will help these schools save money on their energy
bills, improve comfort and protect the environment by increasing efficiency
and reducing energy consumption.
Typical upgrades include:
• Energy efficient lighting and sensors
• Heating and air conditioning upgrades
• Energy management systems,
We have been helping schools save energy and money for the last 10 years
through our APS Solutions for Business Program and are committed to
continuing our long-standing tradition of giving back to our communities
with this pilot program. To learn more, please visit aps.com/schools.
