aps foundation partners with the desert botanical garden
Spring wildflowers are blooming and attracting colorful visitors to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix. The APS Foundation is a proud partner of the Garden’s spectacular new Butterfly Exhibit, which features hundreds of live butterflies fluttering among the stunning desert landscapes of the Papago Buttes. The new exhibit provides a delightful and educational experience for children as well as adults.

In the Butterfly Pavilion, visitors have the opportunity to observe and interact up-close with more than 20 species of butterflies. At the APS Foundation Butterfly Landing, school groups, children and families can gather and learn first-hand about butterflies and their positive impact on our environment. The exhibit also offers a caterpillar nursery and emergence chamber where visitors can view each stage of a butterfly’s life cycle. Educational displays illustrate topics such as pollination and how to create a butterfly-friendly garden.

Supporting the Desert Botanical Garden is one of the many ways the APS Foundation works to ensure that Arizona students have access to high-quality, innovative science education.
