APS Energy Patrol, our energy conservation program, enlists students as active partners in conserving energy at school. They’ll also develop leadership skills and character.
how energy patrol works
Did you know lights left on in an empty classroom for two hours each day can cost an extra $50 over the school year? Multiply that by the number of classrooms in your school to see noticeable savings.
Energy Patrol members learn the importance of energy conservation and discover direct ways they can make a difference.  They’ll make sure the lights are off when classrooms are unoccupied and  leave a written reminder if they’re left on.
energy patrol goals
  • teach energy conservation
  • reduce energy consumption
  • reduce energy bills
  • develop leadership skills and good character
