​​APS partners with all municipalities and regional economic development organizations around the state to assist with identifying the building blocks that shapes long-term economic sustainability for all. Each part of Arizona is unique with its individual assets. The APS team works with each municipality to realize those assets and offers technical and financial assistance that work to identify a diversified economy and growth.​
​​The APS Economic Development Team participates in the following boards and committees across Arizona:
arizona prospector
​​​APS funds a free, web-based tool to support community economic development efforts in attracting and expanding business and industry within Arizona.

Arizona ZoomProspector provides current, community-specific data on labor force, demographics, wages, consumer spending, top industries, transportation, educational attainment, etc. The tool also provides information on office, industrial, retail and commercial land availability offering potential prospects a comprehensive first look at many of the communities around the state.

economic development strategic planning assistance
​​APS offers assistance to both the regional economic development organizations as well as the individual communities with the economic development strategic planning process. This assistance program was created to help communities shape their future by thinking strategically, aligning their planning tools, and making sound decisions as they prepare their economic development action plan.

It is a collaborative process that is designed to build consensus around mutually accepted goals and a common agenda.  The end result is an action plan and management tool that helps the region and/or individual community to take appropriate steps to identify job creation and a diverse tax base to achieve their envisioned future.
