2008 APS Teachers' Energy Workshop

Focusing on Energy and Sustainability

Re-energize your classroom at APS' 12th Annual Teachers' Energy Workshop. Mark your calendars for June 9-20 and join science teachers from around Arizona for a fun and informative energy and sustainablity workshop sponsored by APS. We pack a lot of activities into this two week workshop with one goal in mind -- to send our "graduates" away with all the tools they need to teach comprehensive energy units in their classrooms.

The program materials are targeted at the 4th- through 6th- grade level. The curriculum is designed to help teachers meet the State standard in science. Preference will be given to 4th and 6th grade teachers who teach in schools located in APS' territory.

Week One - Monday, June 9 - Friday, June 13
Week Two - Monday, June 16 - Friday, June 20
You must attend both weeks.

Curriculum:

  • Using energy safely
  • Using energy wisley - conservation, demand side management and other programs
