Valley Electric Update

The replacement transformer at the Westwing substation was brought online, greatly increasing the Phoenix Valley’s ability to import energy supplies.  The transformer replaces one of those destroyed by a July 4 fire at the far Northwest Valley substation.

We have asked a lot from our customers over the past five weeks and you have responded amazingly with your efforts to conserve energy during periods of peak demand. Thank you for all you did to contribute to our ability to avoid rotating outages during this critical period.

We encourage you to go back to a normal lifestyle, using energy as you need.  As always, we appreciate that you use energy wisely.
