As part of the national Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency requires certain industries (primarily manufacturing industries) to monitor and report certain chemicals they use, manufacture or release to the environment in amounts beyond a given threshold each year.
At APS, we are proud of our environmental record and fully support the EPA’s Community Right-to-Know program and its Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) program.
APS’ two coal plants -- Four Corners Power Plant, near Farmington, New Mexico, and Cholla Power Plant, west of Holbrook, Arizona -- are the only APS facilities required to file TRI reports under the new federal regulations.
