Program Overview

The APS Supplier Diversity and Development team serves as a liaison between the minority and women owned businesses and APS business units to identify suppliers and locate purchasing or contracting opportunities. Our team facilitates effective business relationships that will assist APS in achieving its business objectives as well as providing business opportunities in our community.

To support these objectives the SDD team works to:

  • Identify potential certified suppliers from existing resource lists such as, SBA, GCMSDC, NMSDC, WBENC, Pinnacle West SDD website, etc.

  • Actively mentor strong MWBE candidates for potential opportunities and facilitate meetings with buyers and suppliers. Pinnacle West offers training and support for minority and women-owned businesses on how to do business with Pinnacle West integrating strategies to include competitive sourcing opportunities.

The Supplier Diversity team seeks certified diverse suppliers through active involvement with small business and minority development organizations and participation in various trade show events.
