New Customers To establish Equalizer on a new service, one of the following is required: - An approved credit check with no deposit required.
- A letter of credit from prior electric provider demonstrating on time payments for at least 12 consecutive months of service.
Existing or Previous Customers For those who have or previously had service with APS, Equalizer can be added to accounts if:
- There are no credit agreements pending.
- There is no delinquent amount due.
- There has been no interruption of service due to non-payment in past 12 months.
- There have been no more than two delinquent payments in the last 12 months.
- No checks have been returned in the last 12 months.
- Account has been active for more than 12 consecutive months.
- Not removed from the Equalizer Plan in the last 12 months.
- Not enrolled in an EPR rate. EPR customers have a qualified generating system, such a photovoltaic system, installed at their home or business, and sell excess power back to APS.
If an account is being transferred, the new service is eligible for Equalizer immediately if the above criteria is met.
