Digital meters show all reads in a window on the meter’s face. There are typically five fields shown on a digital meter’s display. Each field is shown in the window for a few seconds.
Field discriptions are listed below in the order they display:
| Field 01 - Current Date |

Day - Month - Year |
| Field 02 - Current Time |

Hour - Minute |
| Field 03 - Total kWh Read |

|
| Field 04 - On-Peak kWh Read |

|
| Field 05 - Demand KW Read |

|
For a kilowatt-hour read once you have read your meter, subtract this read from a previous read to establish the how many kilowatt hours have been used. Your APS bill displays your current and previous readings. The difference between the two is how we determine the amount of your bill each month.
A kilowatt read -- also known as a demand read -- is billed just as it appears. This occurs because the meter reader resets the demand read every month after the meter has been read.
To get your Off-Peak kWh usage, subtract the On-Peak kWh usage from the Total kWh usage.
