Protecting Electronics

Lightning strikes, downed power lines and even the switching on and off of your air conditioner can create problems in your electric wiring.

These power disturbances can damage or even destroy valuable electronic equipment. No matter where you live or whatever utility provides your electricity, uncontrollable power disturbances are a fact of life.

Often the unnoticed, ongoing disturbances are the worst offenders. Over time, these small disturbances damage the electronic chips that are the brains of today's electronic equipment and appliances. This could lead to costly repairs, loss of important computer data or destruction of equipment.

Most of this can be avoided by adding electronic equipment like surge suppressors.

For specific information on power disturbances and their effects on your electronic equipment see our Troubleshooting Tips.
