The Amount of Energy Used (kWh) Another component of the E-32 electric bill is the total amount of electricity (number of kilowatt hours) used during the billing period. One kilowatt-hour is 1,000 watts used for one hour. Under the E-32 Rate Plan, the price per kWh drops as electricity use increases – as long as everything is running at once and boosting the peak demand. For more information on how the E-32 Rate Plan works, take a look at the E-32 Rate Schedule.
