The E-32 Rate Plan is the standard plan for our commercial customers who have a demand of less than 3,000 kilowatts a month. This includes small- and medium-size businesses and organizations such as restaurants, retail outlets, manufacturers and offices.
Here are the basic components of this rate plan: - A service charge for meter reading, account management, maintaining electric facilities and other general costs.
- The E-32 Rate Plan includes a demand charge based on the highest amount of electricity you use in any 15-minute interval during the billing period. If you use all your equipment at once, your demand charge increases. If your business uses 20 kW or less per month, you will not be billed a demand charge.
- The cost of your actual energy use for the month (kWh). This amount goes down as your use goes up – like a volume discount.
- Cost of electricity is dependent on time of year.
- If you are on the E-32 Time-of-Use Rate, the cost of electricity is also dependent on the time of day it is used.
