Lighting is a good place to start saving
Lighting comprises a significant portion of the typical electricity bill -- from 42% for small offices to 55% for small retail buildings in Arizona. The good news is that improving lighting efficiency is relatively simple and costeffective. Cutting waste heat from inefficient lights can also lighten the load on your cooling and refrigeration systems.
The APS Solutions for Business program offers rebates for all of these measures -- and many more. To learn more, visit our Web site at www.aps.com/businessrebates or contact a program representative at 866-277-5605.
Program cuts the hassle and cost of energy efficiency upgrades
The APS Solutions for Business program now offers you an easier and more affordable approach for helping you save on your bottom line. The “Direct Install” method is offered to small businesses and schools delivering efficiency right to the customer and requires minimal up-front investment.
Interested? Contact an approved Direct Install contractor for your assessment. They are listed in the Trade Ally section of our program Web site at www.aps.com/businessrebates.

APS can help your school save
The APS Solutions for Business program provides cash incentives for a wide range of energy efficiency measures -- from lighting and motors to refrigeration and air conditioning equipment. The program also provides rebates for design assistance, feasibility studies and retro-commissioning. The incentives reduce the up-front cost of energy efficiency projects and shorten the payback period. Simple energy efficiency measures and equipment replacements save up to 30% annually. These measures
will also produce a healthier, more comfortable learning
environment.
Schools can access the direct install approach (described above) that simplifies installation for a specific set of lighting and refrigeration measures. Direct Install can be an effective component of your comprehensive school energy efficiency improvements.
Consider solar savings
Once you’ve maximized your energy efficiency, consider using renewable resources by installing solar daylighting, solar water heating or other renewable technologies. APS offers incentives for installing a wide variety of renewable energy systems. Funding is
limited and awarded on a competitive basis as either up-front incentives for smaller systems or as production based incentives, based on actual energy output, for larger installations. Both types of incentives require the transfer of Renewable Energy Credits
(RECs). More information on renewable energy technologies and the APS funding process can be found at www.aps.com/gosolar.
