About the Program

The APS Solutions for Business program offers incentives (rebates) to small and large businesses to reduce energy consumption. Incentives are available for existing buildings and new construction. By participating in the program customers may:

• Decrease electricity use
• Lower monthly consumption and/or demand charges
• Reduce maintenance requirements and costs
• Improve comfort
• Boost productivity

Customers can apply for rebates from a prescriptive menu of measures or they can propose custom projects. They can also qualify for assistance with energy studies and to participate in the Energy Information Services (EIS) program. [Download program flyer]

The Solutions for Business program is funded by APS customers and is approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission. The program was launched in March 2006 and participation has grown steadily.

Through the end of 2008, the program paid nearly $12 million in incentives to 325 business customers. These customers will save more than $200 million in energy costs over the life of the equipment installed. Together, these energy efficiency projects will benefit the environment by saving 730 million gallons of water and reducing greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 1.4 million tons--equivalent to removing 215,000 cars from the road.
