Whole Building Design

The best time to incorporate energy efficiency is at the initial design stage. APS rebates reduce the cost of planning, modeling and constructing high performance buildings. The Whole Building incentive begins at $0.14 per annual kWh saved for buildings designed and constructed to perform at least 10 percent more efficient than the baseline. 

The whole building incentive has two parts:

• Design incentive encourages creative strategies at the earliest stages.
• Construction incentive offsets the cost to owners/developers for building a more-efficient facility.

Building owners/developers can apply for a studies incentive to off-set the cost of performance modeling.
