From waste water treatment to water production and distribution, pumps are busy working behind the scenes. APS offers a variety of incentive options for pump system improvements. A prescriptive incentive is available per hp for motor replacement or VFD installation. A custom incentive is offered for other improvements such as impeller trimming.

Technical Assistance: APS Covers 50 Percent of Cost
The APS Pump Testing initiative is offered to commercial customers to determine if their pumps are performing at optimal capacity and to make cost-effective recommendations for needed repairs. APS will cover half of the cost of the pump test with the customer covering the rest. When testing is complete, customers will receive the results including a brief analysis of the potential energy-efficiency and cost benefits of system improvements needed. The information will also highlight relevant program rebates.
- To qualify your pump must be operating on an eligible APS rate (such as E32 or E221); be 15 hp or greater in size; have a load factor of 40 percent or greater; have not been tested under this initiative in the past 24 months.
