Lighting is the largest electricity use for many organizations. It's also relatively easy to change and projects payback quickly. Assess high-use lights and older fixtures first: they are likely to be cost-effective candidates for an upgrade. Consider occupancy sensors and controls. Then look for ways to reduce cooling, refrigeration and other electricity uses.
Express Solutions: Save Time and Energy Non-profits with average monthly demand of 400 kW or less can participate in Express Solutions. This approach cuts the cost and hassle of implementing lighting and refrigeration measures. The customer's return on investment is less than one year for most projects.
- Approved contractor conducts a free facility assessment, handles all paperwork and installs the equipment.
- APS rebates typically cover 60-90 percent of the project cost, making it more affordable for businesses to improve efficiency.
- Program pays the rebate directly to the contractor, reducing the up-front costs for customers.
To participate in the Express Solutions program, simply contact an Express Solutions Trade Ally to schedule a facility assessment.
Comprehensive Program: Pick from the Project List Choose from a prescriptive menu of measures with set incentives, propose a custom project or apply for assistance with energy studies. Use the "Equipment" menu to learn about rebates for specific projects. To participate in the comprehensive program, submit an application to reserve funds or contact a Trade Ally for help identifying appropriate improvements.
Financing APS is partnering with National Bank of Arizona (NB|AZ) to offer low interest rate financing to commercial rate customers participating in the Solutions for Business program. APS rebates can reduce a significant portion of the project costs and financing may cover the rest.
