How Power is Restored

How Power is RestoredAPS starts at the source of the power outage and works outward to restore electrical service.

You may have seen a repair crew drive by your house during an outage, but not stop. While our crews are assessing large outages, other crews may be checking out the damage before work begins. It may be common for APS crews to pass through your neighborhood and leave without restoring your power. You can be assured this does not mean your problem is being ignored.

We know it can be frustrating to see neighbor's lights back on, and you are still in the dark. This can occur since power circuits do not always follow streets or area geography.

If you received information that your power has been restored in your area, and your lights are still out, please contact APS at (602) 371-7171in Phoenix or (800) 253-9405. It could be possible that you were affected by two problems and only one was corrected.
