DVUSD Earns $300,000 in Energy Efficiency Rebates October 28, 2008 APS will present the Deer Valley Unified School District (DVUSD) a rebate check of $300,000 for energy efficiency measures taken in 2008. In two and one-half years, DVUSD has earned more than $700,000 in rebates under the APS Solutions for Business Program, making the district the largest recipient of the program rebates to date. The energy efficiency measures have not only earned DVUSD substantial rebates, their 2008 efforts will save the district more than $218,000 a year in energy costs. Additionally, the DVUSD effort will save 1,580 tons in green house gas emissions a year, the equivalent of 238 cars. The rebates funds were earned by changing out heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment as well as updating lighting in eight schools.
