APS Rebate
The APS Renewable Energy Incentive Program provides incentives toward the purchase of rooftop solar panels to current APS customers, as well as those living in remote areas of the APS service territory (off grid).

Customers on the APS grid (connected to APS power lines) can receive a one-time incentive per installed DC watt and have the ability to be credited for excess energy their system produces. Off-grid customers can receive a one-time incentive of up to $2 per installed DC watt. See current grid-tied incentive levels.

Federal and State Tax Credits
Federal and State tax credits are available to residential customers who install solar panels.

*The Federal government offers a tax credit of up to 30% of a customer’s cost for installing solar panels. Arizona residents can also apply for a 25% one-time tax credit for their out-of-pocket expenses, up to a maximum of $1,000. As with any tax questions, you should verify your eligibility with your tax advisor. Federal and Arizona tax credits are subject to change.

While APS incentives and tax credits will cover much of your costs, financing options can help you get your system installed with little or no out-of-pocket expenses. Options include:

Home Equity Loans - Check with your bank or mortgage company to see what types of loans they may have available for you, including energy efficiency mortgages, which may allow you to qualify for larger loans because of the reduction in your monthly utility bills.
