The Arizona Corporation Commission recently approved several funding and program changes to the 2012 APS Renewable Energy Incentive Program. Changes to the 2012 program along with updated forms and processes will be posted on this site by the end of January. Please note that we are not able to accept incentive applications for the 2012 program on 2011 forms. Wind systems for non-residential customers can either be tied to the APS power grid (“grid tied”) or installed as a stand alone system (“off-grid”). With a grid tied system, you can draw electricity from the APS grid when your system is not producing enough to meet your needs. Whether your system is grid-tied or off grid, APS incentives for non-residential customers are available on a competitive basis. Depending on the size of the system, incentives can be paid as a Production Based Incentive (PBI) based on the actual production of your system (PBI) or as an Up-Front Incentive (UFI) based on the system rating. The maximum incentives available for either type of incentive is listed in the APS Renewable Energy Incentive Chart. Getting Started: Grid-tied up-front incentives > Grid-tied production based incentives > Special PBI Funding Program for Schools and Government Facilities > Off-grid up-front incentives > Off-grid production based incentives >
