Solar Pool Heating - Up Front Incentives

If you are applying for an Up-Front Incentive (UFI) for the installation of a solar pool heating system, you will receive a single incentive payment from APS based on the system's estimated production as defined in the APS Renewable Energy Incentive Chart.

In most cases your installer will be familiar with the incentive process and can help you with any of the required forms. For specific information regarding equipment and installation requirements that must be met to qualify for an incentive, please refer to the Equipment Qualification & Installation Guidance - Solar Pool Heating.

Next Steps:

1. Submit the following to reserve your funding:
   
   
   • A completed and signed reservation application and credit purchase agreement to the address below.
   • An itemized quote for all system and installation costs.
     
     
2. Receive reservation confirmation from APS.
   You will receive written notification regarding the approval status of your reservation.
   
   
3. Obtain any local permits and provide "proof of advancement".
   Work with your installer to obtain necessary municipal permits and clearances ("green tag"). In order to keep your funding reservation active, you must also provide proof that your project is advancing. This includes:
   
   
   • Submitting an Energy Savings & Designed Output (ES&D) report.
   • Notification that applicable permits have been pulled
   • Submission of design drawings
     
     
4. Proceed with installing your solar pool heating system.
   
   
5. After installation, submit the following to that address below in order to receive your payment:
   
   
   • Signed Acceptance and Installation Certification form
   • Receipt confirming the system purchase price, payment, and installation by an Arizona licensed contractor
   • Copy of the clearance issued by the city or county, or, box checked on the Acceptance and Installation Certification form stating that there is no city or county clearance required for the installation site location.
     
     
6. Receive your incentive payment from APS.
   Upon verification that all requirements have been met, APS will issue your incentive check.
