But did you know that your pool may be one of the largest consumers of electricity in your house? To help you save energy, APS is now offering rebates up to $200 on qualifying energy efficient pool pumps and seasonal timers.

Efficient Pumps

There are many reasons why an efficient variable-speed pump is a smart choice for your pool.

You can save up to $400 per year in pool energy costs.
Variable-speed technology uses up to 80% less energy, and keeps your pool just as clean.
Today's efficient pumps are significantly quieter than standard pool pumps.
With APS rebates, your payback can be as little as two years.

Available Rebates

$200 rebate for qualifying variable-speed pumps
$75 rebate for qualifying seasonal pool timers.

The Arizona Legislature recently passed Title 44 that requires new efficiency standards for residential pool pumps.

While it does not affect any pump currently installed on an in-ground residential pool, any newly installed pumps that are one horsepower or greater will be required to meet the new energy-efficiency standards beginning January 1, 2012. Dual-speed pumps will be the minimum efficiency for pool pump installations, and inefficient single-speed pumps will no longer be sold.
