APS ENERGY STAR^® and Solar Homes - Builder Support

The level of additional builder support will be based upon the total number of homes being committed to the APS ENERGY STAR and Solar Homes program.

TV, Radio & Print (paid advertising & media exposure)
APS will feature solar communities and builders in press releases and paid advertising to various media outlets. The most benefit will be realized from initial communities and builders signing up for the program.

Web
aps.com -- APS Energy Star and Solar home developments will be listed on aps.com with direct click through capabilities to the builder website.

e-communications -- Information about the APS Energy Star and Solar Homes program and web links will be sent via e-newsletters to all APS customers who receive e-mail notices.

move.com -- Many builders find that about 75 percent of their homebuyers begin their search for a new home online. Partnering with move.com, a premier search site, potential homebuyers from across the country will be able to search for APS ENERGY STAR and Solar communities. In addition, the site will be linked and have search capabilities directly from aps.com. APS will pay up to 100 percent of the advertising costs for a community showcase listing on the move.com site.

Public Events
Information about the APS Energy Star and Solar Home program will be available to the public at numerous events throughout the year.

Direct Mail/Bill Inserts
Communication of the program will also be done through bill inserts and newsletters sent to all APS customers. Targeted direct mail advertising assistance, building general awareness of the benefits of PV and solar water heaters is available.

Builder Training

• Onsite sales training on the benefits of PV, Solar Water Heaters and Solar Ready
• Builder workshops will be scheduled to cover topics such as:
  • Architectural Design & Development Planning
  • Technology/Industry Standards and Utility Interconnection

Marketing Collateral

• Consumer brochures & model home signage
• Banner for homes as they are built (Solar Ready Home, APS Solar Home)
