APS ENERGY STAR + Solar Homes - Builder Incentives

APS offers incentives to builders who make solar technology a feature in their communities. These payments are paid directly to the builder and are part of the APS renewable energy incentive programs. These fixed incentive level, twelve-month reservation life-cycle are designed to make it easier for builders to integrate solar into their communities.

A fundamental requirement for all homebuilders in this program is that they first be an APS Energy Star community. Once a community is enrolled in the APS Energy Star program, they are then eligible to participate in the APS Energy Star plus Solar Homes program.

Homes built with Photovoltaic (PV) or Solar Thermal:

• Builder locks in $0.85/watt incentive for all photovoltaic reservations made under the 2012 budget
   
• Builder locks in $0.50/kwh off-set for all solar thermal reservations made under the 2012 budget
