TS-9 to Pinnacle Peak 500kV / 230kV
Transmission Line Project

The Arizona Corporation Commission granted APS a Certificate of Environmental Compatibility (CEC) for this project on February 13, 2007.  The CEC allows APS to begin the right-of-way acquisition and permitting process for the new power line and substations.  Right-of-Way will be acquired within the certificated corridor and is expected to begin immediately.  A copy of the approved Commission Order and the corridor map can be viewed below under latest news and project maps.

This project is expected to be in service between 2009 and 2010.

APS’ TS-9 to Pinnacle Peak 500-kV / 230-kV project will provide the electrical infrastructure that is necessary to support growth in the northern portions of the metropolitan area, bring additional power to the entire metro area and, improve the reliability of the existing transmission system.

Please send us your comments or call Mike DeWitt, APS Project Manager, at (602) 493-4446 for any questions you may have on the project
