  1. Units must be installed after April 12, 2006 and before the end date of the program to be eligible for a rebate. This program will end when rebate funds expire.
  2. A dated contractor invoice will be required as proof of purchase and installation date. Rebate application form must be submitted to APS within 6 months of installation date.
  3. Unit must be a new installation that replaces an existing heat pump or air conditioner (AC) in an existing home served by APS.
  4. This program applies to whole house heat pumps and AC systems only; window units do not qualify.
  5. Incentive amounts are per unit for residential HVAC systems. Maximum of 5 units per home.
  6. Units must be installed by a contractor licensed in the State of Arizona.

How to Apply for a Rebate

  1. There are more than 40,000 different AC unit combinations that are eligible for a rebate  – ask your contractor to help you determine the right unit for your home that will qualify for a rebate.
  2. Have a qualifying heat pump or AC unit installed by a licensed AC contractor.
  3. Fill out an application*. For homes with multiple AC units, you must fill out a separate application form for each rebate you are qualifying for. You will need help from your contractor to fill out the AC equipment information on the application form.
  4. Mail your form to APS. Your application form must be accompanied by an invoice from a licensed contractor showing proof of installation at your address.
  5. Invoice must include:  Manufacturer, model, ARI reference number, size (tons), SEER and EER efficiency levels, proof of installation at your address, proof of payment, contractor license number.
  6. Mail your rebate application form and documentation to:
