An APS Qualified Contractor will help you through the process of installing a new energy-efficient air conditioning system or upgrading your existing system. The two primary considerations are: - Quality installation -- Your new unit should be installed by an APS Qualified Contractor who meets stringent installation and maintenance requirements and is a member of the Arizona Heat Pump Council.
- Proper equipment -- A Heating and Cooling Load analysis will determine the proper size unit (in tons) for your home. Bigger isn’t necessarily better.
- A properly sized and installed high efficiency heat pump or air conditioner
- Properly sealed and insulated duct work
- A programmable thermostat, which provides greater control over home comfort and energy use.
