This component is part of the pricing for the Combined Advantage plans. "Demand" or kW is the average kW used during the 60-minute period of maximum use during the on-peak hours of the billing month. The kW used is determined from readings of your APS meter.
If the APS meter is inaccessible to the meter reader due to locked gates or because of safety limitations including weather, the kW will be what was measured since the last resetting of the kW dial.
If the kW dial was not reset, the customer may request a resetting to zero for a charge of $10 per trip. However, the request from the customer must be within three (3) days of notification by APS that the meter reader was unable to reset the kW dial.
The kW dial will be reset to zero, unless the registered kW at the reset time is greater than the registered kW at the last scheduled reading. In this case, the billing kW will be the kW registered on the kW dial at the next scheduled reading. |
