We need to safely read your meter each month. Your electric meter may be located in your front or back yard and is normally next to your breaker panel.
For Standard rate customers, safe access includes:
- The area surrounding the meter must be free of visual obstructions, including vegetation, scrap wood, bricks and tools.
For time-of-use rate customers, safe access includes:
- We need to safely touch your meter each month.
- Meter and breaker panel are not located behind a locked gate and gate latch is accessible from outside the gate.
- Meter and breaker panel are not located in a yard that contains dogs or other pets.
- The path to meter and breaker panel is clear and free of debris such as scrap wood, bricks and tools.
- The area surrounding the meter and breaker panel is clear of vegetation for a minimum of 3 feet.
