Announcement Regarding the 2012 Renewable Small Generation RFP

  • The APS 2012-2016 Renewable Energy Standard Implementation Plan was approved by the Arizona Corporation Commission on January 13, 2012.
  • As approved, the Plan includes an expansion of distributed energy programs in 2012 that will contribute to APS’s overall renewable energy targets over the next several years.
  • As a result of the expected increase in the amount of distributed energy in this time frame, APS has postponed the solicitation for small generation renewable resources previously planned for release in early 2012.
  • We will continue to evaluate the levels of distributed energy deployment during 2012 to determine the timing and need of future small generation solicitations.
